Earth Day is an international event dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of safeguarding the environment we all share. Traditionally, this is April 22. We will acknowledge Earth Day on Monday, April 21.
Come help us at Aylor Open Space (136th and Quebec) for a community clean-up and remediation event from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. We’ll focus on removing vegetation from a canal to prepare for improved water flow in this soon-to-be-restored riparian ecosystem. Additional tasks will include general cleanup, as this project is designed to eventually transform the area into a nature education space.
Gloves, tools and water will be provided. Please dress appropriately for our ever-shifting Colorado weather in April and wear closed toe shoes.
