The Healthy Farmers Markets are searching for volunteers to assist with weekly set-up and tear-down, including tents and tables, and possible transportation of equipment. The markets run from June 20th through September 28th, 2023, Tuesdays and Thursday from 9am-noon (no markets the weeks of July 4th and Labor Day). Volunteer hours would be from 8am to 1pm. Shifts may be adjusted or split into two upon request.
Location: Tuesdays: Anythink Huron St Library, 9417 Huron St, Thornton CO 80260
Thursdays: Anythink Wright Farms Library, 5877 E 120th Ave, Thornton, CO 80602
Volunteer Duties:
- Set up and tear down the Healthy Farmers Markets tents, tables, chairs, and signs at the start and end of the markets
- Assist vendors and community resources in setting up and tearing down tents, tables, and chairs
- Assist vendors with other set-up and tear-down as requested
- Possible assistance at the market check-in booth and produce stand as necessary
- Assist attendees with carrying purchases to car upon request
- Direct vendors where to park at Huron St location
- Possible assistance in counting attendees
- Other duties as needed
